SAP BTP AI & Joule Studio Developer

Role Summary
We are looking for a Lead SAP BTP AI Developer to design, build, and orchestrate custom AI agent workflows within SAP Joule Studio and SAP AI Core (Generative AI Hub).
In this role, you will build deterministic, multi-step agent actions for Supply Chain and Procurement—connecting conversational interfaces and autonomous agents directly to backend S/4HANA OData and REST APIs without relying on SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC).
Core Responsibilities
• Develop custom skills, actions, and multi-turn conversational agents within Joule Studio and the SAP Generative AI Hub.
• Build agentic tool execution frameworks (e.g., using Python, LangChain, or LangGraph on BTP Kyma/Cloud Foundry) to plan and orchestrate complex ERP tasks.
• Author and maintain Joule Design Time Artifacts (DTA YAML / JSON schemas) to bind natural language intents to backend SAP RAP/OData services.
• Engineer grounded system prompts, dynamic parameter extraction, and human-in-the-loop review gates for high-risk transactional recommendations.
• Implement side-by-side extensions using the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) where intermediate business logic, caching, or payload staging is required.
Required Technical Qualifications
• SAP AI Technologies: Hands-on experience with SAP BTP Generative AI Hub, SAP AI Core, Joule Studio, and orchestration frameworks.
• Modern Development: Strong proficiency in Node.js or Python, REST/OData consumption, JSON schema definition, and OpenAPI specifications.
• API Integration: Direct experience consuming S/4HANA APIs via BTP Destination Service with dynamic bearer token propagation.
• Agentic Design: Understanding of function calling / tool calling architectures, prompt engineering, context management, and deterministic error fallback patterns.
