Summary

Calypso Consultant (Functional / Technical) – Remote (EST Hours)

We are hiring experienced Calypso Consultants for a long-term engagement supporting a large capital markets platform implementation on a private cloud environment. This role requires strong hands-on Calypso experience with version 19 and the ability to support front-to-back trade lifecycle processes. Candidates can be mid-level or senior, but must have practical implementation and configuration experience. Technical expertise is strongly preferred.

Duration: 18–24 months
Location: Remote (must work EST hours)
Travel: 10–15% travel to NYC area (expenses covered)

Key Responsibilities:
• Work on end-to-end Calypso implementation across front, middle, and back office modules
• Configure workflows, trade lifecycle, pricing, and risk components
• Perform system customization within a restricted/private cloud environment
• Support integrations, batch jobs, and performance tuning
• Participate in data migration and environment setup
• Collaborate with internal teams and business stakeholders
• Follow direction from senior Calypso architects (for mid-level roles)
• Provide technical and functional support during implementation phases

Functional Requirements:
• Strong knowledge of capital markets products such as FX and Fixed Income
• Hands-on experience with Calypso configuration and workflows
• Experience with Accounting, Back Office modules, and SWIFT messaging
• Front-to-back implementation exposure
• Ability to translate business requirements into Calypso solutions

Technical Requirements:
• Hands-on Calypso technical architecture and customization experience
• Strong Java and SQL skills
• Experience with Calypso APIs and interfaces
• Integration and batch processing experience
• Performance tuning and troubleshooting knowledge
• Data migration experience

Experience Level:
• 5–10 years overall experience preferred
• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on Calypso experience required
• Senior candidates should have implementation-from-scratch experience
