Role: Cloud Security Specialist (API)
Location: Washington, DC (Onsite)

Job description:
Required Experience:
Strong expertise in REST API integration, including implementation, security, automation, testing, and documentation
Knowledge of resilient integration patterns (error handling, retries, monitoring)
Proficiency in scripting and automation for security orchestration
Preferred Qualifications:
AWS Certified Security Specialty (preferred)
AWS Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional)
Experience with ServiceNow, Collibra, and Saviynt integrations
Core Skills:
Cloud-native/serverless architecture and cloud security controls
DevSecOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code
CASB solutions and SaaS security
Strong knowledge of IAM, network security, zero trust, DLP, and vulnerability management
Familiarity with federal security frameworks (NIST, OMB)
Responsibilities:
Design secure API integration architecture and data models
Develop automation/orchestration scripts
Build and test secure cloud integrations
Support DLP and CASB initiatives
Provide cloud security SME guidance and consultation
Create/update security documentation and playbooks
