Experience: Junior to Mid-Level
Duration: 1 Year+ (Long-term potential)
Dual Track Requirements
Track 1: Systems Engineer
Focus: Machine architecture, integration, and performance.
Tools: MATLAB/Simulink, SysML, MBSE (Model-Based Systems Engineering).
Testing: Experience with HIL/SIL (Hardware/Software-in-the-Loop) and FAT/SAT.
Skills: Component delivery and interface control documents (ICDs).
Track 2: Software Engineer
Focus: Writing embedded code for control systems.
Tools: C / C++ and Linux development.
Hardware Knowledge: Must understand Electrical or Mechanical Engineering principles and how code affects machine movement.
Skills: Embedded systems, Git, and real-time constraints.
Education & Common Skills
Degree: Bachelor’s in EE (Electrical) or ME (Mechanical) is preferred. (CS/CE considered if they have control-theory experience).
Control Theory: A strong grasp of how software interacts with physical hardware.
Collaboration: Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams (Electrical, Mechanical, and Software).
