SUMMARY

The Quality Engineer intern will include overall process and product quality responsibility. This may include our supplier base, test, manufacturing, sales floor, control test, exercising, pre-ship, deprocessing, customer fielding and service/warranty. Quality interns work with Quality department staff while exhibiting a professional and cooperative attitude.

YOUR IMPACT
  • Maintain a positive, professional working relationship with all customers.
  • Responsible for supporting Quality Department Staff.
  • Review and develop quality documentation, data, and reports
  • Assist in development of BIQ (built in quality) to the Production lines
  • Actively participate in group and team meetings.
  • Communicate with suppliers and internal teams to correct and prevent quality issues.
  • Assist in problem solving and implementing solutions to quality related problems.
  • Assist staff with the disposition of defective material.
  • Participate in quality audits internally and externally.
  • Report and respond to quality process nonconformance issues in an expedient manner.
  • Work inter-functionally with Quality and Manufacturing to resolve quality related issues.
  • Must exhibit the ability to proactively complete assigned tasks.
  • Travel to Riceville occasionally as required.
  • Accurately maintain company records and documents in accordance with policies and procedures

*Job duties will vary depending on business unit and location of internship.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Student working toward a Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Operations Management/Business Administration, or a related field for entire duration of internship.

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS
  • GPA of 3.0 or greater
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Pay Range:
$18.00 - $37.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
