We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated AutoCAD Electrical Control Designer to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position for a seasoned professional with a strong background in the Engineering industry. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, NEC, and UL 508A standards, as well as a proven track record in managing projects, creating templates, and delivering high-quality work. This role requires strong technical skills, the ability to produce detailed drawings, and a deep understanding of panel automation. Familiarity with Allen-Bradley and Rockwell systems is a must.

Responsibilities

As an AutoCAD Electrical Control Designer, your responsibilities will include:

1. Designing and developing complex electrical control systems, using AutoCAD.
2. Applying knowledge of NEC and UL 508A standards to ensure compliance in all design projects.
3. Managing projects from conception to completion, ensuring all deliverables are met on time and within budget.
4. Creating and maintaining templates for future projects to streamline the workflow and increase efficiency.
5. Configuring technical specifications for automation and control systems.
6. Producing detailed, accurate drawings to guide the manufacturing process.
7. Working closely with the manufacturing team to ensure designs are feasible and cost-effective.
8. Troubleshooting and resolving issues with Allen-Bradley and Rockwell systems.
9. Continuously updating technical knowledge and skills to stay abreast of industry developments.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must have:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Engineering industry.
2. Proven expertise in AutoCAD and electrical control design.
3. Extensive knowledge of NEC and UL 508A standards.
4. Experience in managing projects and producing high-quality deliverables.
5. Proficiency in creating and maintaining templates to streamline workflow.
6. Strong technical configuration skills, with a particular focus on automation and control systems.
7. The ability to produce detailed, accurate drawings for manufacturing.
8. Strong technical skills, with a proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
9. Experience with Allen-Bradley and Rockwell systems.
10. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a strong attention to detail.
11. A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
