Senior Hardware Engineer Scope: Lead board bring-up, hands-on testing, and characterization of analog, digital, mixed-signal, and high-speed circuits.
Troubleshoot hardware issues, identify root causes, and implement and verify design modifications.
Develop and execute test plans to validate hardware performance against system requirements.
Document test results, debug findings, and recommended design improvements.
Build and maintain detailed schematics using Altium Designer.
Guide PCB layout to address critical design requirements, including signal integrity, power integrity, and timing.
Perform signal integrity and high-speed simulations as needed.
Partner with operations and assembly teams to ensure designs are manufacturable, testable, cost-effective, and ready for volume production.
Required: Bachelor s or Master s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Eight or more years of hands-on board-level hardware design experience, including substantial bring-up, debugging, and validation work.
Proficiency in Altium Designer for schematic capture and PCB layout review.
Strong foundation in analog, digital, mixed-signal, and high-speed circuit design.
Proficiency with oscilloscopes and other laboratory instruments used for board-level testing and characterization.
Ability to develop and execute hardware test plans and deliver repeatable, reliable results.
Strong understanding of timing analysis and design for manufacturing principles.
Ability to work independently and collaborate closely with hardware, systems, and manufacturing teams.
Pluses: Experience with HyperLynx or similar high-speed simulation tools.
Expertise in power integrity and signal integrity analysis.
Experience automating hardware tests using Python or similar scripting languages.
Experience with board rework and prototype modifications.
