Job Description

Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12.1.3 Discrete Manufacturing functional consultant to serve as the on-the-ground manufacturing solution lead for ongoing ERP transformation - migrating off its legacy ManMan ERP (HP-3000/MPE-iX) onto Oracle EBS R12.1.3 across its Chambersburg, PA foundry and machine shop operations, its San Luis Potosí, Mexico machining plant, and solution should fit within the broader manufacturing network.

This is a highly visible, business-facing role that blends deep functional Oracle EBS discrete manufacturing expertise - Work in Process, Bills of Material, Engineering, Inventory, and Quality - with hands-on RICE (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions) development. The successful candidate will work daily, onsite, with plant leadership, production, quality, and engineering teams to translate real shop-floor operations - foundry pours, machine-shop routings, kitting, labor and scrap reporting - into a working Oracle EBS solution, while ensuring the design aligns to the manufacturing template already runs across its other business units.

Key Responsibilities:

Own the manufacturing functional design. Serve as the primary onsite Oracle EBS R12.1.3 Discrete Manufacturing functional lead for the implementation, covering Work in Process, Bills of Material/Engineering, Inventory, and shop-floor execution.

Face the business directly. Lead requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, and solution design workshops with production supervisors, quality, engineering, planning, and plant leadership - this role requires the presence and credibility to run a room of shop-floor and plant stakeholders, not just document their input.

Translate the shop floor into the system. Convert foundry and machine-shop operations - casting, cleaning, machining, kitting, labor/scrap reporting, outside processing - into working Oracle EBS discrete manufacturing configuration.

Fit the global template. Partner with the broader IT/ERP organization to align the solution design to IT existing global Oracle EBS manufacturing footprint and standards, minimizing unnecessary customization and easing long-term support.

Drive RICE development. Author and review RICE (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions) functional specifications, and build or directly support technical development of reports, interfaces, and data conversions for manufacturing objects - items, BOMs, routings, work orders, on-hand balances.

Work cross-functionally. Coordinate with Finance, Planning/Scheduling, Purchasing, Quality, Configurator and ASCP/Planning to ensure the manufacturing solution integrates cleanly across the broader EBS instance.

Train the users. Plan and deliver end-user training and documentation for shop-floor and manufacturing-engineering users transitioning from ManMan to Oracle EBS.

Support the full delivery cycle. Lead Conference Room Pilots (CRPs), integration testing (SIT), UAT, cutover planning, and hypercare/go-live support for the manufacturing work streams.

Travel as needed. Travel within the U.S. sites, and optionally to the SLP, Mexico plant, to support cross-site process alignment.

Required Qualifications:

8-10+ years of Oracle E-Business Suite functional experience, with deep, hands-on expertise in Discrete Manufacturing: Work in Process (WIP), Bills of Material (BOM), Engineering, and Inventory. Oracle EBS R12.1.3 experience strongly preferred.

Proven experience of at least 2-3 full-lifecycle Oracle EBS implementation or ERP migration in a discrete manufacturing environment; experience converting from a legacy ERP platform is a strong plus.

Hardcore, hands-on manufacturing and shop-floor operations experience - comfortable on the floor, fluent in routings and work centers, and able to design a system around how production actually runs, not just how it's documented.

Demonstrated RICE development experience - able to write functional specs and work directly with technical developers, or personally build and debug reports, interfaces, conversions, and extensions.

Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across Production, Quality, Planning, Finance, Engineering, and IT.

Very good verbal and written communication skills - able to run workshops, train end users, and communicate clearly with both shop-floor personnel and executive stakeholders.

Willingness and ability to work 100% onsite in Chambersburg, PA, five days a week, and to travel domestically within the U.S. as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior implementation experience with foundry operations and/or machine-shop manufacturing environments.

Experience implementing or supporting Oracle EBS within a multi-plant, multi-country manufacturing organization, especially U.S./Mexico operations.

Familiarity with (or a comparable industrial manufacturer's) global ERP template or manufacturing standards.

Experience migrating from a legacy ERP platform (e.g., ManMan or a similar HP-3000/MPE-based system) to Oracle EBS.
