Position Summary

As a Software Development Engineer at CVS Health, you will be a key contributor in designing and developing new components and enhancing existing capabilities within the myPBM Ecosystem. You will take ownership of complex and high-impact initiatives, guiding cross-functional teams (including IT employees and contractors) to deliver successful outcomes as a Project Owner.

This role requires strong collaboration, communication, and technical leadership to ensure scalable, high-quality solutions aligned with business and technical objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in large-scale software development
  • 1+ years of experience developing applications, web services, and cloud-native solutions using technologies such as Java, SQL, Node.js, React, Angular, Spring Boot, REST APIs, JPA, and related tech stacks
  • 1+ years of experience working in Agile development environments
  • 1+ years of experience in Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices
  • 1+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines, using tools such as GitHub, CircleCI, Harness, Jenkins, or GitLab
  • 1+ years of experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • 1+ years of experience working with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, Azure, or AWS

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and planning skills, with the ability to own and drive complex initiatives
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deliverables effectively
  • Experience collaborating across multiple IT teams, including technical leads, architects, infrastructure, and enterprise architecture teams
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including business partners and senior leadership
  • Experience working within the PBM or healthcare domain

Education

Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent specialized training or relevant professional experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$72,100.00 - $144,200.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
