Senior System Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior System Engineer to join our dynamic team remotely. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions that support our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, deploy, and manage enterprise-level systems and infrastructure.

Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.

Automate routine tasks and processes using scripting and configuration management tools.

Implement and maintain security protocols, firewalls, and access controls.

Collaborate with development teams to support cloud-based and on-premises environments.

Conduct system capacity planning and performance tuning.

Document system configurations, procedures, and standards.

Stay updated with the latest technology trends and best practices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

5+ years of experience in system engineering, administration, or related roles.

Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).

Experience with virtualization, containers, and orchestration tools (VMware, Docker, Kubernetes).

Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, PowerShell, Python.

Familiarity with networking concepts and security best practices.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
