POSITION PURPOSE
This unique role combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical expertise to guide our IT department in supporting the client’s mission and goals. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, innovative thinker with a passion for technology and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to our patients and staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
1. Leadership and Strategy: Develop and execute IT strategies that align with the client's overall objectives. Provide visionary leadership to the IT team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
2. Project Management: Oversee and manage IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and implementation of new technologies.
3. Technical Expertise: Perform hands-on technical work as needed, including system administration, network management, and troubleshooting.
4. Application Expertise: Remains current with systems and emerging technology industry trends to ensure the client remains at the forefront of innovation.
5. Team Development: Mentor and develop IT staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the team.
6. Security and Compliance: Ensure the security and integrity of the client's IT systems.
7. Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Leads and responds to IT audits and any findings/recommendations ensuring satisfactory with regulatory compliance and best practice.
8. Patients and Staff Support: Provide exceptional support to client’s patients and staff, addressing IT-related issues promptly and effectively. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
9. Vendor Management: Oversees and directs third-party technology resource to maintain and improve operational efficiency. Negotiations and monitors vendor contracts according to business needs.
10. Business Continuity: Develops and administers the Client’s IT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plans including regular updates and testing.
11. Incident Response: serves as a patient of the client’s Crisis Management Team (CMT), which is responsible for the initial response and for guiding the organizational response during any emergency or disruptive situation.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Required Knowledge:
· Strong technical skills, including proficiency in system administration, network management, and cybersecurity.
· Proven experience in project management, with a track record of successful project delivery.
· Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with commitment to staff development and mentoring.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
· Familiarity with client operations and regulatory environment is a plus.
Experience Required: Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
