Job Summary
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support continuous improvement initiatives, equipment upgrades, process optimization, and new product introduction activities within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role partners closely with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Safety, and Engineering teams to improve manufacturing efficiency, product quality, equipment performance, and production capacity through data-driven engineering solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Drive continuous improvement projects focused on manufacturing processes, equipment performance, quality, safety, and productivity.
  • Evaluate, develop, and implement manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment to support operational objectives and new product introductions.
  • Analyze manufacturing systems, facility requirements, workflows, and production data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, develop project plans, and provide engineering recommendations for process and equipment enhancements.
  • Support capital planning, equipment acquisition, installation, and validation activities.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing process issues and implement corrective actions to improve operational performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Safety, Logistics, and Engineering to achieve production goals.
  • Optimize manufacturing and office space utilization to improve workflow, efficiency, and capacity.
  • Develop and maintain standard work, assembly processes, and supporting documentation.
  • Provide hands-on production floor support to validate process improvements and equipment readiness.

Years of Experience and Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline required.
  • 2-4 years of manufacturing engineering or related engineering experience required.
  • Internship experience may be considered toward overall experience requirements.
  • Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment preferred.

Skills Required
  • Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Manufacturing equipment, tooling, and production process knowledge.
  • Root cause analysis and structured problem-solving skills.
  • Experience supporting equipment installation, validation, and process implementation.
  • Understanding of quality systems, Six Sigma, and manufacturing best practices.
  • Ability to analyze production data and develop process improvement recommendations.
  • Experience with CAD software such as Creo or AutoCAD preferred.
  • Project management and capital project support experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
