Job Summary
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support continuous improvement initiatives, equipment upgrades, process optimization, and new product introduction activities within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role partners closely with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Safety, and Engineering teams to improve manufacturing efficiency, product quality, equipment performance, and production capacity through data-driven engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

Drive continuous improvement projects focused on manufacturing processes, equipment performance, quality, safety, and productivity.
Evaluate, develop, and implement manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment to support operational objectives and new product introductions.
Analyze manufacturing systems, facility requirements, workflows, and production data to identify improvement opportunities.
Conduct feasibility studies, develop project plans, and provide engineering recommendations for process and equipment enhancements.
Support capital planning, equipment acquisition, installation, and validation activities.
Troubleshoot manufacturing process issues and implement corrective actions to improve operational performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Safety, Logistics, and Engineering to achieve production goals.
Optimize manufacturing and office space utilization to improve workflow, efficiency, and capacity.
Develop and maintain standard work, assembly processes, and supporting documentation.
Provide hands-on production floor support to validate process improvements and equipment readiness.

Years of Experience and Education

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline required.
2-4 years of manufacturing engineering or related engineering experience required.
Internship experience may be considered toward overall experience requirements.
Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment preferred.

Skills Required

Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Manufacturing equipment, tooling, and production process knowledge.
Root cause analysis and structured problem-solving skills.
Experience supporting equipment installation, validation, and process implementation.
Understanding of quality systems, Six Sigma, and manufacturing best practices.
Ability to analyze production data and develop process improvement recommendations.
Experience with CAD software such as Creo or AutoCAD preferred.
Project management and capital project support experience preferred.
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
