QA Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client located in Jacksonville, FL that is in need of a Functional QA Engineer that plays a key role in delivering high-quality software solutions by ensuring alignment with client functional requirements. This role emphasizes manual testing, creating and maintaining test cases, and validating system functionality across multiple initiatives. The ideal candidate will work closely with business analysts, developers, and project managers to ensure all deliverables meet established quality standards and perform as expected.

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline preferred
* Demonstrated experience in software quality assurance, with at least 3 years focused on functional testing
* Strong understanding of QA frameworks, testing methodologies, and industry-standard tools
* Hands-on experience performing manual testing, including both black-box and gray-box approaches
* Ability to develop clear, detailed, and well-structured test cases
* Working knowledge of SQL for validating and verifying data accuracy
* Proven ability to manage testing efforts across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Desired Skills:
* Strong analytical mindset with a high level of attention to detail
* Experience using defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar platforms
* Familiarity with Agile development environments and practices
* Exposure to test automation tools is a plus, but not required
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
