Summary

We are seeking an experienced Guidewire QA Tester Policy Systems & Data Testing expertise to support testing efforts for new functionality and enhancements across policy systems. The role requires close collaboration with business users, development teams, and QA stakeholders to ensure high-quality delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform testing activities for new functionality and system enhancements.

Execute System Testing, System Integration Testing, Regression Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Validate Guidewire policy systems and business rules through comprehensive testing processes.

Create detailed test scenarios and test cases based on requirements, use cases, and mapping documents.

Develop and execute SQL scripts for database and data validation testing.

Define testing estimates and prioritize testing activities based on business criticality and impact.

Work closely with business users to understand requirements and assist during UAT activities.

Document, communicate, and troubleshoot issues, bugs, and system changes throughout the testing lifecycle.

Maintain end-to-end traceability using test management tools.

Collaborate with QA teams and represent QA activities during daily stand-up meetings with development and business teams.

Provide regular status updates, including defects, risks, and testing progress to QA management.

Investigate workflows, procedures, and software processes to improve testing quality and efficiency.

Ensure all defects and issues are resolved prior to test sign-off.

Required Qualifications

8+ years of experience in QA / Software Testing with at least 4+ years of Database Testing experience.

Strong experience in data testing projects.

Strong experience in Guidewire testing projects, specifically validating business rules for policy systems.

Expertise in creating test scenarios focused on data quality, scalability, accuracy, and transformation.

Strong SQL scripting and database validation experience.

Experience working independently as an individual contributor.

Strong communication, documentation, planning, and decision-making skills.

Proven ability to proactively solve complex testing challenges.

Experience performing UAT testing with business users.

Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.

Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.

Experience working in Agile testing environments is a plus.

Experience in Insurance Compensation domain is preferred.

Data Automation Testing using Python is preferred.

Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, Big Query, and LookerStudio is an advantage.
