Job Summary

The Senior Java Developer will design, build, and support cloud-based microservices using Java and AWS. This role focuses on developing scalable, secure solutions, supporting DevOps and CI/CD practices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based microservices using Spring Boot and AWS.
• Build and support cloud-native solutions with an emphasis on scalability, performance, and security.
• Contribute to DevOps and CI/CD pipelines, including source control, automation, monitoring, and deployment practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive continuous improvements across platform reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with architects, product managers, and engineering teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Promote and apply software engineering best practices within an Agile development environment.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience as a software engineer focused on cloud-based systems.
• Strong Java development expertise, preferably Java 8 or higher.
• Experience building microservices and complex distributed systems.
• Proven hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
• Experience designing for scalability, performance, availability, and reliability.
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience implementing non-functional requirements such as security, latency, availability, and monitoring.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working on teams using modern Agile software development practices.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Experience with Python; exposure to Golang or JavaScript (Node.js).
• Experience with SaaS and PaaS platforms.
• Familiarity with Databricks, Terraform, and data pipeline development.
• Knowledge of network architecture and cloud security best practices.
