Position: Pega Developer

Duration: 18+ Months (Possible extension or Conversion to Full Time)

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer with expertise in Pega development to join our team on a contingent basis. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing Pega applications, with a strong focus on case management, system integrations, and workflow automation. This position requires hands-on coding, technical leadership, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of Pega applications, focusing on case management and workflow orchestration.
• Actively contribute to development, including rules, flows, integrations, UI, and decisioning, as a hands-on lead.
• Translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable Pega designs.
• Ensure solutions align with Pega Guardrails, performance standards, and enterprise architecture guidelines.
• Design and implement end-to-end case lifecycles, including stages, steps, SLAs, approvals, and escalations.
• Leverage case types, subcases, spin-offs, and wait shapes effectively.
• Optimize user experience for case workers using Pega UX, including sections, views, and dashboards.
• Design and implement integrations using REST and SOAP services, connectors, and Pega integration patterns.
• Collaborate with downstream and upstream system teams to define interface contracts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration and performance issues.
• Mentor and support junior and mid-level developers through code reviews and hands-on guidance.
• Set coding standards and reusable assets to improve team efficiency.
• Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and defect resolution.
• Support deployment activities and production troubleshooting as needed.
• Ensure compliance with security, audit, and operational standards.

Qualifications:

• 11+ Years of Pega platform experience, with significant hands-on development.
• Strong expertise in Pega Case Management.
• Proven experience with Pega system integrations, including REST/SOAP services and connectors.
• Solid understanding of Pega rules engine, flow rules, decision tables, and data pages.
• Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Experience leading or mentoring development teams.
• Pega certifications such as CSSA and/or CLSA.
• Preferred: Experience with Pega Infinity, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud environments.
• Preferred: Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Pay Range: $70 - $75

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
