Job Title: Organizational Change Management (OCM) Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled Organizational Change Management (OCM) SME with large
IT HHS transformational project experience in the public sector -
specifically with HHS transformation experience (such as MMIS, IES, Healthcare Exchange) to join our client's dynamic team, supporting critical projects within a prominent organization. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead change initiatives that drive user adoption and facilitate seamless transformations across complex environments. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in developing and executing change management strategies, ensuring organizational readiness, and delivering measurable outcomes. Starting around April, this position offers a hybrid onsite/remote working arrangement, with the expectation of engaging onsite at least two to three times every other week.
Required Skills:- Extensive experience in Organizational Change Management (OCM) frameworks, methodologies, and best practices
- Proven track record of leading change initiatives within large-scale IT or business transformation projects
- Experience working with clients in the public sector
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop comprehensive change management plans, including communication strategies, training programs, and assessment tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail
- Knowledge of industry-standard change management tools and software
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Nice to Have Skills:- Certification in Change Management (e.g., Prosci Certified Change Practitioner)
- Familiarity with relevant project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, Agile)
- Previous consulting experience or client-facing roles
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance standards
Preferred Education and Experience:- Bachelor's degree in Business, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or related field; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in change management, preferably within IT or organizational transformation projects
Other Requirements:- Availability to start in Spring (April timeframe)
- Willingness to engage in a hybrid work environment with onsite visits scheduled for Tuesdays through Thursdays once or twice a month
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence diverse stakeholder groups
- Reliable access to necessary technology for remote work and reporting
