We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer II to support electric distribution projects for utility clients. This role focuses on designing, reviewing, and delivering safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions for overhead and underground distribution systems.What You'll Do:- Apply technical expertise to develop engineering designs that meet project specifications, codes, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with Designers and Drafters to complete design packages, calculations, and drawings.
- Support the preparation of simple to moderately complex designs and contribute to larger, more complex projects.
- Lead discipline-specific design efforts on simple projects and assist with technical analyses on complex work.
- Utilize CAD and engineering analysis software to support project deliverables.
- Communicate scope, cost, schedule, and quality challenges to team leads and project managers.
- Interact with clients on a limited basis and ensure clear, professional communication.
- Conduct self-reviews and participate in peer and quality control reviews to ensure accuracy.
- Support fielding activities and perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree in engineering at ABET accredited university
- 1-2 years of electrical distribution design experience
- Knowledge of the software BOUD and Maximo
- Client Facing Experience / construction support.
