Summary

Position Title: Sr. Manager, Accounting
Location: Chesterton, Indiana(4 days onsite w/ Fridays remote)
Pay Rate: $65-$70/hour
Interview Required: Yes, 2 rounds: Teams Video call and Onsite Interview.
Note: Backfill for a current manager who is leaving

Position Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sr. Manager, Accounting to oversee and manage the financial accounting and reporting functions within a dynamic organization. This role offers an immediate opportunity to contribute to a high-performing team by handling near-term accounting activities with a focus on balance sheet reconciliation, financial analysis, and reporting. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, process improvement, and compliance. Training will primarily consist of recorded videos, enabling a quick ramp-up and seamless transition to responsibilities including month-end closing, reconciliations, and financial reporting. This is a full-time contract position based entirely in-office in Chesterton, IN, with high urgency to fill the role.



Top Requirements:

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, particularly pivot tables and VLOOKUPs, for daily balance sheet reconciliations and data analysis
  • Excellent ability to work independently and quickly learn through recorded training materials
  • Experience with financial reconciliations, month-end close processes, or similar accounting functions
  • Prior experience in accounting or finance preferred but not required
  • Solid understanding of balance sheets and reconciliation procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
