Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer Consultant to support and enhance Network Operations Center (NOC) activities. This role requires a highly skilled professional who can handle complex network environments, provide technical leadership, and ensure optimal network performance and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, install, maintain, and upgrade network infrastructure
- Monitor network performance and ensure high availability
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues and outages
- Support network design, implementation, and optimization
- Maintain network diagrams and technical documentation
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and best practices
- Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to team members
- Support voice-integrated and enterprise network environments
- Manage and support enterprise network technologies including Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Citrix NetScaler, and related tools
- Proactively monitor and improve network performance and security
- Implement updates, patches, and configuration changes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
- Travel to field offices as needed (state vehicle provided)
• 10+ years of experience with Cisco firewalls
• 10+ years of experience with Cisco routers
• 10+ years of experience with Cisco switches
• 10+ years of experience with Cisco VPN
• 10+ years of experience with Cisco administration
• 5+ years of experience with Palo Alto firewalls
• 5+ years of experience with Palo Alto XDR
Preferred Skills
• 10+ years of experience with knowledge of monitoring and tracing tools
• 10+ years of experience in core network architecture
• 10+ years of experience with advanced troubleshooting, routing, and switching
• 4+ years of experience with wireless networks
• 3+ years of experience with hybrid cloud infrastructure
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS:
- CCNA, CCNP
