Job Summary

Wells Fargo is seeking experienced Python Developers with strong expertise in PySpark, SQL, and Big Data technologies. The role involves designing and developing scalable data processing solutions, building APIs, and working with large datasets in a financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable applications using Python and PySpark for large-scale data processing.
• Design, build, and optimize data pipelines and ETL workflows for structured and unstructured data.
• Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data across systems.
• Work with Big Data ecosystems including Hadoop, Spark, Hive, and Kafka.
• Develop and consume REST APIs, including designing new APIs for data services.
• Perform data transformations including joins, merges, aggregations, and summarizations.
• Implement data quality checks and validation controls to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Work with RDS and cloud-based databases for data storage and retrieval.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders.
• Ensure solutions align with financial domain requirements and regulatory standards.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Python development
• Hands-on experience with PySpark
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and data querying
• Experience with Big Data tools: Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Kafka, HDFS
• Experience working in Linux environments
• Knowledge of API development and integration
• Experience with data processing and transformation techniques
• Exposure to RDS or relational database systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in financial services / banking domain
• Knowledge of Scala or Java
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Familiarity with data governance and compliance frameworks
