About the Role

Innovar Group is seeking a Project Superintendent – Mechanical Construction to support large-scale construction work in the Cheyenne, Wyoming area. This is a direct hire opportunity for a hands-on field leader with strong mechanical construction experience across plumbing, piping, sheet metal, HVAC, and related building systems.
 

The Project Superintendent will oversee day-to-day field operations, coordinate crews and subcontractors, manage schedules, and ensure mechanical work is completed safely, accurately, and in alignment with project requirements. This role is ideal for someone who can lead from the field, solve problems quickly, and keep complex mechanical scopes moving from mobilization through closeout.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily field execution for mechanical construction scopes, including plumbing, piping, sheet metal, HVAC, and related systems.

  • Supervise field crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure work is completed safely, correctly, and on schedule.

  • Coordinate manpower, materials, tools, equipment, and daily work activities.

  • Review drawings, specifications, schedules, and project documentation to support field planning and execution.

  • Monitor field progress and identify issues that could impact schedule, quality, safety, or productivity.

  • Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, engineers, inspectors, commissioning teams, and other trade partners.

  • Support look-ahead planning, daily coordination, and sequencing of mechanical work.

  • Ensure mechanical installations meet project requirements, quality standards, and design intent.

  • Maintain accurate field documentation, including daily reports, progress updates, issue tracking, and required project records.

  • Promote and enforce safety standards across all field activities.

  • Support inspections, punch list completion, turnover, and closeout activities.

  • Help drive accountability, communication, and productivity across assigned crews and subcontractors.
     

Required Qualifications

  • Experience as a Project Superintendent, Mechanical Superintendent, Field Superintendent, General Foreman, or similar field leadership role.

  • Strong mechanical construction experience across plumbing, piping, sheet metal, HVAC, or related scopes.

  • Ability to lead field crews and coordinate subcontractors in a fast-paced construction environment.

  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, field coordination, schedule management, and quality control.

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, schedules, and technical documentation.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with field teams, project management, inspectors, and trade partners.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound field decisions.

  • Commitment to safety, quality, productivity, and schedule performance.

  • Ability to work onsite in the Cheyenne, WY area.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting data center, mission-critical, industrial, or large commercial construction projects.

  • Experience with complex mechanical systems in high-availability environments.

  • Background supporting commissioning readiness, turnover, punch list, or closeout activities.

  • Experience coordinating multiple mechanical scopes across active construction phases.

  • Familiarity with construction management tools, daily reporting systems, and look-ahead scheduling.
