The SAP EWM and ASRS Sr. Engineer is a key member of the client team supporting the ramp-up and continued success of the production operations at a newly constructed state-of-the-art facility located in North Charleston SC. This person will further implement and optimize client’s intralogistics and warehousing setup by analyzing the current processes, collaborating with management on system integration, and executing the implementation of integrated ERP solutions within the warehouse management domain.
This position is a key player in our IT PLM & Supply Chain Mgmt. Competence Center. You will be an essential part of our growing international internal consulting and application support team. The role focuses on delivering SAP Logistics and Supply Chain transformation projects as well as daily support and change management.
3. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• Serve as a senior expert for the SAP EWM module and the Automated Storage & Retrieval System (ASRS) setup at our North Charleston site.
• Assist in troubleshooting SAP issues using defined analytical methods.
• Prepare and maintain SAP documentation (process flows, blueprints, design specs) within the existing procedures and guidelines. Develop functional specifications for configuration and customisation, including reports, integrations, conversions, enhancements, forms and workflows.
• Assist in translating requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results for functional, integration, user acceptance and performance testing. Perform functional acceptance testing execution after development completion.
• Upon request, support the key users to deliver end user training for system usage and implemented functionalities.
• Drive the implementation of EWM & ASRS functionalities and its introduction into site operations by ensuring user training and adoption.
• Assist in identifying and resolving data integrity issues across SAP logistics modules with support from colleagues.
• Participate in the evaluation of business processes and help gather business requirements – these are including, but not limited to master data, inbound, intralogistics, outbound, and physical inventory processes, underlined by our implemented SAP EWM, ASRS, and label management systems, together with the interactions with our third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
• Design and document solution alternatives that align with local business requirements, global template processes, and architectural principles.
• Contribute to improvement and process optimization initiatives under the direction of IT team leads and business process owners.
• Follow prescribed procedures to address risks or non-conformances, escalating complex issues as needed.
• Collaborate with global digital teams to support issue resolution and small-scale enhancements.
• Perform assigned duties within the bounds of EWM, ASRS, and the broader integrated system setup.
• Engage with the site leadership team, ASRS vendors and 3PL providers, where necessary, to troubleshoot issues and evaluate new processes and functionalities.
• As assigned, contribute to change requests and global initiatives specific to other manufacturing sites.

4.1. Professional Experience & Specific Skills
• A minimum of 7 years’ experience as an SAP specialist, consultant, or business analyst in the logistics areas.
• Solid knowledge of warehouse and logistics processes in SAP EWM module and ASRS setups. Configuration and customization skills in SAP EWM, together with integration knowledge with other SAP modules and external systems.
• Possess the foresight to identify and remedy potential problems before they arise. Ability to synthesize sustainable improvements out of repeated issues.
• Ability to acquire new knowledge, adapt to and contribute to fast moving environment as a team player.
• Possess strong organizational, analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.

4.2. Relevant Qualification: (education and training)
Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, management information systems, logistics, manufacturing, or in a related field preferred.
