This role is not a generic Java Full-Stack role. The client clearly wants Java + Angular + Energy/Utilities (T&D / Smart Grid / SCADA / Energy software) experience.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer Full Stack to join a high-performing engineering team working on next-generation software solutions for energy utilities and grid automation systems.

In this role, you will design and develop scalable enterprise applications that support power grid operations, automation, and energy management systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java-based backend development and modern front-end technologies, along with experience building distributed and data-intensive applications.

You will collaborate with product managers, designers, QA teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to build high-quality solutions in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and SQL
Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices architectures
Develop high-performance, scalable applications that process large datasets
Integrate applications with internal and external systems
Ensure application performance, responsiveness, and scalability
Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA, and release teams
Participate in the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including design, development, testing, and deployment
Analyze data, processes, and code to troubleshoot issues and improve system performance
Follow coding standards and best practices including code quality tools such as SonarQube
Support deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of applications
Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement

Required Qualifications

Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field
6+ years of professional software development experience
Strong experience in full-stack development

Technical Skills

Required

Strong hands-on experience with Core Java and Spring Boot
Experience developing REST APIs and Microservices
Knowledge of multithreading, caching mechanisms, and messaging frameworks
Frontend development experience using Angular (Angular 12+ preferred), HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Experience with SQL databases and data-intensive applications
Strong understanding of distributed system architecture and web services (REST, JSON, XML, SOAP)
Experience with application servers such as Tomcat
Familiarity with modern development tools, build frameworks, and source control systems
Experience working with Jira or other ALM tools
Strong understanding of UI design principles and responsive design
Strong problem-solving and algorithmic skills
Ability to write efficient, scalable code for large datasets

Preferred / Nice to Have

Experience in Energy Utilities, Smart Grid, or Power Systems software
Knowledge of AWS or cloud-based application deployment
Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux and Shell scripting
Experience with Python development
Familiarity with grid automation, SCADA systems, or energy data platforms
