Role Overview
This employer is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the execution and delivery of critical cybersecurity initiatives. The successful candidate will coordinate a complex, multi-year program spanning Identity and Access Management, Public Key Infrastructure, infrastructure, applications, risk management, and third-party integrations. This position provides a single point of accountability for the integrated roadmap, milestones, risk management, and executive reporting. Key focus areas include establishing a Center of Excellence, completing discovery work across major workstreams, and assessing hardware and network readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project execution and complete moderate to large cybersecurity initiatives on time and within scope.
- Coordinate discovery activities across multiple major workstreams and interface with infrastructure teams to inventory existing hardware.
- Consolidate project plans, deliverables, risks, issues, and dependencies across workstreams.
- Maintain detailed program documentation and ensure strategic decisions are properly recorded and traceable.
- Track vendor readiness, identify technology gaps, and support steering committee meetings and dashboard development.
- Partner with key business, technology, and cybersecurity stakeholders to establish test environments and meet organizational goals.
- Act as a change agent for project management best practices and governance while consolidating updates from workstream project managers.
- Assist with request for proposal processes and the onboarding of consulting resources.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in a business or technology field of study.
Experience: Senior-level project and program management experience leading large-scale, cross-functional technology transformation initiatives within an enterprise environment.
Technical Skills: Expertise in schedule management, budget tracking, risk mitigation, and technical infrastructure. Strong proficiency in managing projects using Agile and Waterfall methodologies, utilizing Azure DevOps (ADO) to manage user stories and deliverables, and leveraging dashboard reporting tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with artificial intelligence collaboration tools and automation agents.
- Strong understanding of cryptographic principles, asymmetric and post-quantum cryptography, and related compliance frameworks.
- Familiarity with industry standards, cryptographic inventory methodologies, and enterprise risk management.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills to coordinate multiple stakeholders and technical teams.
