Genesis10 is currently seeking an IT Business Analyst with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12 + month contract position.
Responsibilities: - Translate the requirements submitted by users into the architecture for that solution and describing it through the set of architecture and design documents
- Influence stakeholder strategy and understand their needs to help envision and create a solution to solve a problem
- Establish and build relationships with business and technology leaders across multiple organizations
- Gather and catalog functional, nonfunctional, and technical requirements for stakeholder requests
- Act as the subject matter expert within the business/technical domain to support scope and requirement decisions
- Determine the impact of modifications and enhancements to applications across a business/technical domain
- Assist with identifying integration points and the end-to-end solution design
- Ensure changes to the application are compliant with standards and policies
- Assist users and development teams in application testing and troubleshooting and may help with test planning and configuring test solutions to validate functional and system needs
- Lead continuous improvement efforts to create, analyze, and improve processes and solutions
Requirements: - 5+ Years of experience
- Excellent communication skills (Ability to explain complex concepts using visual aid such as diagrams, charts, tableau, PowerPoint etc.)
- Experience creating solution documents and detailed functional specifications for business systems using a variety of logic modeling techniques such as: pseudo-code/structured English, decision tables, decision trees, activity diagrams, etc.
- Experience interpreting dashboards such as Tableau to drive data driven decisions to further roadmap
- Passionate about learning solving complex problems

- Creation and updates of system specifications
- Agile Epics Story definitions
- Familiar with SAFe methodology
- Experience identifying, documenting, and assisting in the planning of various test phases within the development cycle
- Experience working with cross-functional technical and non-technical teams
- Meeting facilitation and discussion moderation skills
- Technical background (Computer Science/Engineering Degree, Programming background)
- Understanding of NLP/NLU concepts
- Experience with a variety of analysis tools and techniques such as: Context Diagrams, Functional Decomposition, Interface Analysis, Sequence Diagrams, Use Cases, User Stories, TAM Block Diagrams
- Ability to understand and create logical domain/data models such as business entity diagrams using tools such as class diagrams or E-R diagrams
- Ability to understand, model and document business processes using techniques such as: process flows, activity diagrams, BPMN, etc.
- Experience documenting the functional aspects of web services including: inputs, outputs, logic, and validation logic
- Experience with data mapping and data transformation rules involving both database fields as well as XML data
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Expert at creating accepting criteria to enable developers to work off of documentation
Desired skills: - Familiar with ADA design and guidelines
Pay range: $43.56 - $51.56
