Summary

The Systems Administrator will assist with database sizing and management as well as perform routine maintenance and administration tasks on the infrastructure hosting our applications, including our develop, testing, training, and production environments. Our Partner's team consists of Software Developers, Systems Development Engineers (DevOps), and Data Engineers - with this combination of skills, we develop unique software that enables our customer network to safely operate at scale without customer impact.

The Sys Admin will need to have proven systems design and scalability experience, as they will also be responsible for designing, secure infrastructure enhancements to support new capabilities, or enhance the performance and scalability of infrastructure or address related issues.

Responsibilities
  • Database & Cloud Infrastructure: Deploy, provision, and secure AWS resources (EC2, S3, RDS, EBS, CloudWatch, VPC, etc.); assist with database sizing, management, and server security
  • DevOps & CI/CD: Build, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, GitHub, or Jenkins
  • Containerization: Design, build, maintain, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters to ensure uninterrupted development productivity
  • System Maintenance & Security: Run vulnerability scans, patch physical/cloud infrastructure, manage VPNs, and ensure SSL/TLS certificates stay current
  • Architecture & Scalability: Maintain and update the software architecture, focusing on system design, operational best practices, and proactive innovation
Requirements
  • TS/SCI FSP Clearance
  • SQL Experience: 7+ years of experience working with SQL databases
  • OS Administration: 4+ years of experience with Linux or Windows administration
  • Elasticsearch: 2+ years of experience
  • Kubernetes: 2+ years of experience
  • Soft Skills: Proven problem-solving capabilities and effective verbal/written communication skills
