The JD attached is standard Senior BA-- however, we are specifically looking for a ServiceNow Business Analyst. We need someone with a high skill set in ServiceNow who can work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience with ServiceNow and be able to contribute immediately to the role.
Position Summary:
The Senior Business Analyst gathers, analyzes, and documents business requirements for application development and process improvement projects. This role serves as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring solutions align with organizational objectives. The Senior BA provides guidance to junior analysts, supports project delivery, and drives high-quality requirements and process documentation.
Essential Job Functions
• Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, project managers, developers, and QA teams to ensure requirements are understood and implemented correctly.
• Facilitate workshops, meetings, and discussions to resolve requirements issues and clarify business needs.
• Conduct gap analysis and identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Support solution design by providing business context, requirements, validation, and functional insights.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior business analysts.
• Ensure traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle and maintain accurate documentation.
• Assist in testing, user acceptance, and validation to ensure solutions meet business needs.
• Track project progress and escalate issues or risks as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the role.
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications
• 7+ years of business analysis experience, preferably in application development or IT projects.
• Strong experience in requirements gathering, documentation, and process modeling.
• Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with business and technical stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring or guiding junior BAs is preferred.
• Proficiency with requirements management and visualization tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Visio, or similar).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
Financial Responsibilities
• Ensures efficient use of project resources and requirements delivery.
Supervisory Responsibilities
• Provide guidance or mentorship to junior business analysts.
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field required; Master’s preferred.
Expected Hours of Work
Days and hours of work are standard business hours. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
Minimal as required to engage with stakeholders (clients) and/or training.
