We are seeking Data Scientists to turn structured and unstructured data into useful insights for a government customer. Candidates will combine programming, statistical analysis, and visualization to help customers identify challenges, evaluate opportunities, and make decisions about production, resources, and personnel.
Responsibilities - Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify patterns, trends, and operational insights.
- Develop data graphics, dashboards, and visualizations using Tableau and analytical tools.
- Use statistical methods, machine learning, and time-series analysis to support intelligence analysis and customer decisions.
- Produce reproducible analyses and communicate findings clearly to customers.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analytics, with proficiency in relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB) and SQL querying.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience utilizing Python or R programming with relevant libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with time-series data analysis and producing data visualizations.
Desired Qualifications & Experience - Experience with Tableau Prep.
- Using Splunk, including automated processes in the customer's environment.
- Using the customer's enterprise services, security controls, and data management practices.
