Summary

Description
College is seeking a Windows System Administrator II to support and maintain its enterprise infrastructure environment. This role is responsible for administiering Windows Server systems, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), and VMware technologies while ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of critical IT systems.
This position will perform day-to-day system administration, monitor infrastructure health, troubleshoot server and application issues, manage user accounts and permissions, administer MFA and SSO solutions, and support backup and disaster recovery operations.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Windows Server administration, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, VMware, and enterprise infrastructure support. Candidates should be comfortable working independently, balancing operational support and project work, and collaborating with technical and business stakeholders on cloud, identity, and infrastructure initiatives.
This is a hands-on opportunity for an experienced infrastructure professional who can quickly contribute to maintaining a stable, secure, and highly available technology environment while supporting the ongoing technology needs of Spelman College.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
-Experience in higher education or similarly complex enterprise environments is a plus.
-Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
-Experience with PowerShell scripting, Veeam backups, disaster recovery, and enterprise storage solutions preferred.
-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and balance operational support with project work.
-Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.
-Microsoft and VMware certifications are a plus.
-Ability to work onsite initially, with potential hybrid flexibility after the first 90 days.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
