Role Overview
This position is responsible for the comprehensive management of all project aspects during the field execution phase. The role involves overseeing large-scale energy infrastructure projects, with budgets ranging from $200 million to $1.5 billion. The Project Manager will provide technical direction, coordinate project participants, and ensure completion within budgetary and scheduling guidelines. This individual will also serve as a company representative to various regulatory agencies throughout the execution phase.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic oversight of power generation and energy storage projects.
- Manage all project-associated departments, including Development, Engineering, and Supply Chain, during field execution.
- Oversee staff and employee management, safety management, and contract administration.
- Lead project management planning, cost management, time management, and quality and schedule adherence.
- Direct the commissioning, start-up, and operational readiness of facilities.
- Act as the corporate liaison with local, national, and international regulatory agencies.
- Lead the engineering aspects of the project lifecycle, from conception through execution.
- Oversee assigned contractor workload and safety protocols.
- Communicate project progress to internal and external customers.
- Be available for storm travel to assist with service restoration efforts.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field is required.
Experience: A minimum of 15 years of experience overseeing multi-billion-dollar energy infrastructure projects is required, demonstrating high-level engineering and project management expertise.
Certifications: A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
