--- Project Description ---
The position is for a .Net Developer who will design and code
new applications, using provided Business rules, for the
DOCCS agency. They will also support existing DOCCS
systems, while working with several infrastructure groups
within the organization. The developer will need to create
System documentation for the various systems, with which they
will create and interact with.
--- Day-to-Day Tasks ---
1. This individual will be expected to guide development efforts in
the following activities: Provide oversight on the analysis and
design for enterprise applications using .NET and ASP.NET
MVC;
2. Expected to guide in the development of applications
throughout the SDLC, including the redesign of legacy
applications written in older technologies such as ColdFusion,
VB, and Access;
3. Implement standards related to application
technologies, including UI standards, development
methodology, and coding and style guides;
4. Develop and guide
quality assurance processes including code reviews,
performance testing, security scans, and adherence to industry,
state, and federal standards;
5. Identify and escalate technical
risks and issues appropriately;
6. Guide and engage in
development activities which may include data analysis, data
structures, data manipulation, preparing logical database
models.
7. Prepare, and/or review technical documentation such
as system architecture designs, schemas, solution proposals,
as appropriate.
--- Required Qualifications ---
84 months experience developing highly available and scalable
multitier applications (such as 3-tier applications having a front-
end UI, Web service, and backend database) using Object Oriented
or Service Oriented Architecture involving data structures,
algorithms, software design and Design Patterns.
84 months experience developing applications that are
implemented using C# with the .NET framework (3.0 and higher)
and/or the .NET Core framework.
60 months experience creating and supporting ASP.NET MVC or
ASP.NET Core MVC Web applications.
84 months experience converting legacy applications from MS
Access, Visual Basic, and Windows forms technologies to modern
.NET Framework and .NET Core MVC applications.
72 months experience writing and consuming RESTful and non-
RESTful Web services using ASMX, WCF and WebAPI
technologies.
36 months experience with front-end technologies including but
not limited to: React, Angular, and Bootstrap.
84 months experience writing SQL including Stored Procedures,
Functions, Views, and complex queries (such as queries with
nested select statements with UNION statements) in Oracle or SQL
Server.
48 months experience setting up, managing and deploying .NET
applications to IIS.
48 months experience developing, implementing and integrating
systems related to criminal justice, critical infrastructure, public
safety, or emergency response systems.
