Summary

We re seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead critical phases of an integration project involving the integration of service operations into the client's environment. This role will focus on managing the design, analysis, and implementation phases for two major areas: Retail and Wholesale. The position requires strong technical acumen, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and experience in complex IT integration projects. The only restriction we have is that applicants must be located in CST or EST time zones.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership
    • Own and manage project scope, schedule, budget, timeline, and risk for assigned workstreams.
    • Drive the design and analysis phase to assess existing architecture, applications, and data environment of the merging companies.
    • Oversee comprehensive roadmap for infrastructure, architecture, and application integration.
  • Technical Oversight
    • Drive technical assessments of architecture, data architecture, and system compatibility.
    • Track technical debt, performance issues, code quality, API integrations, and downstream impacts.
    • Collaborate with System Integrator while representing the customer s interests independently.
  • Integration Planning
    • Oversee plans for compatibility of business applications.
    • Support configuration decisions and ensure alignment with cybersecurity and compliance requirements.
    • Prepare detailed plans for Phase 2 implementation following completion of the design phase.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Schedule and lead meetings with internal and external stakeholders, including all vendors and necessary stakeholders.
    • Build strong relationships across business and technical teams to ensure smooth communication and alignment.
    • Provide clear and timely updates to leadership and project sponsors.
  • Documentation & Reporting
    • Create and maintain project documentation, including roadmaps, risk registers, and status reports.
    • Utilize MS Office Suite and project management tools for reporting and communication (ADO, Jira, ServiceNow).

Required Qualifications

  • Experience
    • 8+ years of IT Project Management experience, with at least 3 years in integration projects.
    • Proven track record managing large-scale system integrations involving multiple platforms and vendors.
    • Experience with MS Office, Azure, ADO, ServiceNow, Sailpoint, preferred
  • Technical Skills
    • Strong understanding of data architecture, application integration, APIs, and performance optimization.
    • Experience with integrations due to Mergers and Acquisitions
    • Familiarity with cybersecurity considerations in system integration.
    • Ability to assess and mitigate technical debt and legacy system challenges.
  • Soft Skills
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
    • Ability to work independently while coordinating with external SI partners.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Tools
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, project scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project), and collaboration platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP or equivalent certification.
  • Background in energy sector IT systems.
