Overview: Every Turnberry consultant belongs to a practice, an internal group of consultants and leaders with shared experience and expertise. Each of these practices aligns to one of the core services Turnberry offers to clients. As a Business Product Owner, you will join Turnberry's Business Transformation practice. Turnberry's Business Transformation practice is dedicated to diagnosing and addressing core business challenges including regulatory compliance, full-scale implementation, managing change and driving continuous improvement across transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Product Ownership and Strategy
Serve as the Business Product Owner for the MD RIM platform, representing the needs of Regulatory Affairs and related functions
Define and maintain the product vision, roadmap, and priorities for the platform during the divestiture and transition period
Evaluate the current MD RIM capabilities and help define a future-state "MD RIM Lite" model, identifying opportunities to simplify processes and retire low-value functionality
Divestiture and Platform Separation
Lead business activities associated with the cloning and separation of the MD RIM system from the parent company environment
Partner with IT and program leadership to support system transition planning, environment setup, and migration activities
Ensure the new company's MD RIM instance supports regulatory submission, registration, and product lifecycle management requirements
Requirements and Business Analysis
Collaborate with regulatory stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize business requirements
Translate regulatory and operational needs into clear functional requirements, user stories, and product backlog items
Work closely with technology teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and implemented
Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as the primary liaison between regulatory business teams and IT/digital teams
Facilitate workshops and working sessions with SMEs to define future processes and system capabilities
Communicate platform roadmap, priorities, and changes to stakeholders across the organization
Delivery and Execution
Manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with regulatory priorities and separation timelines
Support testing, validation, and user acceptance activities associated with system enhancements or migration
Monitor adoption and usability of the platform, driving continuous improvement
Qualifications:
6-10+ years of experience and at least 3+ years of experience within medical device organizations
Experience serving as a Product Owner, Business Product Owner, or Business Systems Lead for enterprise platforms
Familiarity with Agile product management practices and backlog management
Experience working with IT teams to translate business requirements into system functionality
Experience working in complex, global regulated environments
Understanding of the medical device industry
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting divestitures, system separations, or large platform migrations
Experience implementing or optimizing RIM platforms (e.g., Veeva RIM, Ennov, ArisGlobal, etc.)
Experience in Regulatory Affairs, Regulatory Operations, or Regulatory Technology
Experience with Regulatory Information Management (RIM) systems, preferably within medical device regulatory environments
The salary range for this role is $115,000 to $165,000 or the hourly equivalent.
