Project Overview

The client is acquiring two companies and is looking for a highly technical Project Manager to lead the infrastructure integration ("docking") efforts. This person will own technical discovery, planning, coordination, migration, risk management, executive reporting, and successful integration of the acquired organizations into the client''s enterprise environment.

This is not a traditional PM role. The ideal candidate has a strong infrastructure engineering or architecture background and can effectively communicate with highly technical teams while managing executive stakeholders.

 

Required Experience

• 10+ years of Infrastructure Project Management
• Prior IT M&A / acquisition integration experience (highly preferred)
• Infrastructure engineering or architecture background
• Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred
• Executive-facing communication skills
• Experience managing enterprise infrastructure migrations
• Ability to coordinate multiple technical workstreams simultaneously

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end infrastructure integration projects for newly acquired businesses
• Perform technical discovery and infrastructure assessments
• Build integration roadmaps and migration plans
• Coordinate Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migrations
• Lead Entra ID, Azure, Intune, endpoint, server, networking, and application integration efforts
• Coordinate infrastructure, security, networking, telecom, cloud, and business teams
• Manage schedules, budgets, risks, resources, and executive reporting
• Drive workshops, stakeholder meetings, and technical planning sessions
• Ensure successful project delivery with minimal business disruption
• Maintain governance, documentation, and operational handoffs
