A globally leading consumer device company headquartered in Cupertino, CA is looking for a Camera Image Quality Test Engineer to join their Image Quality team in Video Engineering. The ideal candidate has a good understanding of lab image quality test and real world image quality verification to help deliver the best camera image quality to the world.
- Job Responsibilities: Work at camera video quality review, evaluation and field test.
- Responsible for understanding image quality performance metrics, incubating new lab test methodology.
- Responsible for real world camera image quality test and verification, find algorithm bugs and do initial analysis and triaging.
- Work with development team directly and help design test strategies on video features for camera products.
- Actively participate in quality evaluations for new features and algorithms, through lab and real world test and provide direct feedback to the engineering teams.
- Summarize the findings and present to cross functional teams, including some executive demos.
- Be a critical part of a fast-paced, collaborative team and who thrive in a high energy, time-constrained, multitasking environment to significantly impact image quality.
- This role may occasionally require night testing to support project requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience
3 years of image quality experience
Strong knowledge of subjective/objective image quality evaluation
Strong knowledge of ISP pipeline and 3A evaluation
Experience in lab testing and real world testing environments
Focus on details and possess strong problem solving and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Imaging science, color or image processing related background
Strong image/video photography skills
Experience and proficiency in MATLAB or Python will be a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate and work cross functionally

Duration: 6 months with extension

Pay range: $ 37.00 - $ 52.00 (DOE)
