Role Descriptions: The Oracle GL TechnoFunctional Consultant is responsible for implementing| configuring| supporting| and enhancing Oracle General Ledger (GL) modules within Oracle Cloud Financials. This role acts as a bridge between finance business users and technical teams| ensuring accurate financial reporting| compliant accounting processes| and stable monthend and yearend close operations.The consultant works closely with finance| accounting| IT| and integration teams to translate business requirements into system configurations and technical solutions while ensuring adherence to accounting standards and internal controls.Functional ResponsibilitiesAnalyze and understand financial accounting requirements| chart of accounts structures| calendars| ledgers| and reporting needs.Configure Oracle General Ledger setups| including ledger| accounting calendar| currencies| journal sources| journal categories| and intercompany accounting.Support period close activities| including journal posting| revaluation| translation| consolidation| and financial reporting.Work with business users to resolve GLrelated issues| reconciliation discrepancies| and reporting gaps.Prepare functional design documents (FDD)| setup documents| and user training materials.Technical ResponsibilitiesSupport and develop GL integrations with subledgers (AP| AR| FA| CM) and external systems.Write and optimize SQL and PLSQL queries for data validation| reconciliation| and adhoc reporting.Develop and support custom reports using BI Publisher OTBI Discoverer as applicable.Perform data migration and data validation for GL balances| journals| and historical financial data.Assist with patching| upgrades| and regression testing related to Oracle Financials.Support GovernanceProvide production support for GL issues| including root cause analysis and corrective actions.Ensure compliance with SOX| audit| and internal control requirements.Participate in UAT cycles| defect resolution| and release signoff.Maintain system documentation| control procedures| and audit evidence.Required Skills ExperienceStrong experience in Oracle General Ledger (GL) configuration and support.Good understanding of financial accounting principles and periodend close processes.Handson experience with Oracle EBusiness Suite R12 or Oracle Cloud Financials.Working knowledge of AP| AR| FA| and Cash Management integrations with GL.Strong SQL PLSQL skills for data analysis and troubleshooting.Experience with BI Publisher OTBI reporting.Excellent communication skills to interact with finance and IT stakeholders.
