Application Performance Consultant

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in need of an Application Performance Consultant in Boston, MA.

Responsibilities:
* Tune and optimize database connection configurations to improve application performance
* Analyze and improve .NET application-level database connection behavior and pooling efficiency
* Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks related to ODBC and DB2 Connect usage
* Ensure efficient, stable, and scalable database connection usage within a targeted engagement
* Provide recommendations or quick fixes based on findings during the short-term performance effort

REQUIREMENTS:
* Hands-on experience improving database connection performance in .NET applications
* Strong understanding of .NET database connection management and pooling behavior
* Experience working with ODBC for database connectivity
* Experience with DB2 Connect, including migrations or dual-connection environments
* Familiarity with IBM i/DB2 environments

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
