About the Job- We are looking for an experienced Epic Orders Analyst - Epic Ambulatory / My Chart join one of our enterprise client engagements. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in orders, order panels, order sets, preference lists, Smart-Sets,Ambulatory, MyChart, Clinical Documentation, Medication Management along with experience working in fast-paced enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, maintain, and optimize Epic ordering functionality supporting ambulatory and/or MyChart workflows.
- Analyse and troubleshoot issues related to orders, order sets, preference lists, order transmittal, and associated clinical workflows.
- Build and maintain orders, order panels, order sets, preference lists, Smart Sets, and related Epic components as applicable.
- Support ordering workflows for laboratory, radiology, medications, referrals, procedures, and other ambulatory services.
- Configure and maintain MyChart ordering-related functionality, including patient-facing workflows where applicable.
- Work with clinical teams to understand requirements and translate them into Epic solutions.
- Perform workflow analysis and recommend process improvements that enhance clinical efficiency, patient safety, and user experience.
- Participate in Epic implementation, optimization, upgrade, and enhancement projects.
- Develop and execute unit, integrated, regression, and end-to-end testing.
- Investigate and resolve production issues, including troubleshooting configuration, workflow, and integration-related problems.
- Create and maintain detailed build documentation, workflow diagrams, test scripts, and configuration specifications.
- Participate in change control, release management, and application governance processes.
- Coordinate with other Epic application teams, including Orders, Ambulatory, MyChart, Clinical Documentation, Medication Management, Cadence, Prelude, Willow, Beaker, Radiant, and/or Bridges, as appropriate.
- Collaborate with technical teams on interfaces and downstream systems impacted by orders.
- Provide end-user support, education, and assistance during implementations and system changes.
- Participate in application on-call or after-hours support as required.
- Maintain knowledge of Epic functionality, healthcare workflows, regulatory requirements, and organizational standards.
