Big Data & RPA Lead Engineer

We are seeking a Lead Engineer - Big Data & Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to design, develop, and maintain scalable data and automation solutions. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) combined with RPA platforms (UiPath preferred), along with a solid grounding in cloud computing, DevOps practices, and modern SDLC methodologies.

This role requires a hands-on technical leader who can guide teams, drive automation initiatives, and deliver high-performance applications in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) and RPA tools
• Build and support scalable data processing pipelines and automation workflows
• Develop solutions using Java, Scala, C++, and Python, including scripting with Bash/Python
• Implement UiPath-based automation solutions across web, desktop, and enterprise applications
• Work with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / Google Cloud Platform) across SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS models
• Participate in full SDLC lifecycle including design, development, testing, and deployment
• Apply Agile/Scrum methodologies to deliver iterative, high-quality solutions
• Ensure system performance optimization, configuration management, and change management
• Translate business requirements into technical deliverables
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices ( shift-left approach)
• Mentor junior team members and contribute as a technical lead

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor s Degree with 4+ years IT experience, or
  OR Technical Certification with 6+ years IT experience, or
  OR 8+ years IT experience
• Strong experience with:
  • Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark)
  • Programming languages (Java / Scala / C++)
  • Scripting (Python / Bash)
  • Cloud computing (SaaS / PaaS / IaaS)
• Experience in:
  • Application development & configuration
  • SDLC (Agile / Scrum / Iterative)
  • System performance and configuration management
  • Requirements analysis and problem-solving

Preferred Qualifications

• 4+ years of UiPath experience OR 3+ years with other RPA tools (Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism)
• Strong hands-on experience in RPA across:
  • Web & Desktop applications
  • Citrix environments
  • Salesforce, Excel
  • Mainframe / legacy systems
• Experience with:
  • .NET / C# / Java / Python / SQL / Web Services / HTML/CSS
  • Data integration tools & automation frameworks
• Exposure to:
  • TDD / BDD methodologies
  • CI/CD pipelines & DevOps practices
• UiPath Advanced Certification (highly preferred)
• Strong leadership skills with ability to mentor and guide teams
