Role Overview
We are seeking a Construction Supervisor to oversee quality assurance and quality control for a battery storage project. This role involves providing technical and budget support, reviewing contract documents, and ensuring plant design criteria, drawings, and specifications are met. The position requires safety oversight, material receiving, and inspection of mechanical and electrical construction. Travel within the US is expected to be approximately 25%.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical and financial support for the project, including reviewing contract documents and plant design criteria.
- Perform contractor monitoring and oversight of assigned work.
- Develop and refine project routing, conducting field visits to support pre-construction preparation for energy projects.
- Oversee QA/QC on battery storage jobs, including safety, material receiving, and construction inspection.
- Manage route refinement using value engineering concepts for late-stage activities, including permitting.
- Identify and evaluate routing risks with input from subject matter experts.
- Communicate project risks and updates with cross-functional teams, including Engineering & Construction, Environmental Services, Legal, Development, and Land.
Required Qualifications
Education: An Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Power Generation, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience: 11 - 15 years of experience managing the technical aspects of routing, siting, and construction projects.
Skills:- Functional understanding of criteria used to develop project routing, considering cost, engineering, and environmental constraints.
- Experience in route refinement using value engineering or similar concepts.
- Ability to perform routing and siting tradeoff decisions in the presence of uncertainty.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with various subject matter experts.
- Must hold a valid, non-restricted current driver's license with no alcohol/drug-related driving offenses within the previous five years and a license that is not currently suspended or restricted.
