Description: About the Role

As a Software Engineer (Backend), you will design, develop, and operate scalable backend services that power critical applications. You will work with modern cloud technologies, build resilient distributed systems, and contribute to engineering excellence across the software development lifecycle. This role emphasizes high-quality code, system reliability, and continuous improvement in a data-driven environment.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience in backend development using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Experience building scalable, distributed systems and microservices.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS services such as ECS, EC2, Lambda, SQS, or S3).
  • Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka.
  • Strong understanding of backend architecture, APIs, and system design principles.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience optimizing application performance and improving system reliability.
  • Experience working with large datasets, data analysis, and visualization techniques.
  • Experience evaluating and integrating third-party or vendor solutions.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies and contributing to engineering best practices.
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Build and maintain secure, high-quality production code; perform code reviews and debugging.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and develop innovative solutions beyond standard approaches.
  • Improve system stability by identifying and automating remediation of recurring issues.
  • Design and implement architecture solutions, ensuring alignment with technical and business requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to evaluate architectures and technology fit.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, improve system performance, and drive engineering decisions.
  • Promote best practices across the SDLC, including code quality, testing, security, and deployment.
  • Contribute to engineering communities and stay current with emerging technologies and trends.
