NetOps / Cloud Network Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a NetOps Engineer with strong Cloud Networking expertise to support hybrid cloud infrastructure initiatives. The consultant will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting secure network connectivity across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform cloud environments as well as on-premises data centers.

The role involves working closely with infrastructure, application, and security teams to ensure reliable and scalable cloud networking solutions for enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud networking infrastructure in AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
• Implement hybrid connectivity solutions between on-prem and cloud environments
• Configure and support AWS networking components such as VPCs, subnets, route tables, load balancers, and security groups
• Implement site-to-site VPN and Direct Connect connectivity
• Manage and configure Palo Alto firewalls (PAN-OS) including security policies and routing
• Support Layer 3 routing protocols including BGP and NAT
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform
• Monitor network performance using tools such as Splunk, Wireshark, and other monitoring platforms
• Troubleshoot complex networking and connectivity issues
• Collaborate with architecture and security teams to ensure compliance with enterprise standards
• Document network architecture and solutions using Microsoft Visio

Required Qualifications

• 3–7 years of experience as a DevOps or Cloud/Network Engineer
• Strong experience with AWS networking (VPC, Subnets, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN, Security Groups, NACLs, Load Balancers)
• Experience designing and supporting hybrid cloud connectivity
• Strong knowledge of Layer 3 routing (BGP, VRF, NAT, subnetting)
• Experience managing Palo Alto firewalls (PAN-OS)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure networking (VNet, ExpressRoute, VPN, NSG)
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform networking
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
• Knowledge of Kubernetes networking
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Zenoss, Wireshark
• Strong documentation skills using Visio

Additional Information

• Participation in on-call support rotation
• Occasional travel may be required
• Must be comfortable working in hybrid cloud environments
