Manage a team of Aeromechanical engineers, including budget planning, staffing, training, performance management and career development.
Lead engineering team through design, analysis, prototype, integration, troubleshooting, and verification and assist in new product launch to production.
Improve product design/development processes by employing lessons learned and best practices such as modelling and simulation, design reviews, design outsourcing, tolerance analysis, DFMEA/PFMEA, 6-sigma/lean product development, DFX, and customer feedbacks.
Manage the design and development of new Unmanned Aircraft System products, subsystems, as well as product changes and enhancements.
Evaluates results of aeromechanical design, analysis, and test to assure accomplishment of technical objectives. Directs the introduction of new designs to the manufacturing organization.
Executes on business objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals and provides guidance to subordinates with the latitude of established company policies
Frequently interacts with subordinates, customers, and/or functional peer group managers, normally involving matters between functional areas, other company divisions, suppliers, or customers and the company
Ensures that proper documentation, such as test specifications and procedures, is provided to the appropriate functional area
Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of business trends
Acts as advisor to subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve technical issues. Provides mentorship and leadership to aeromechanical engineers
