Job Title: Senior GitLab System Administrator
Location: Seattle WA / Dallas, TX / Saint Louis MO (Onsite)
Duration: 12 months Contract (W2)

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior GitLab System Administrator with expertise in GitLab Enterprise Edition, Linux administration, AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD infrastructure. The ideal candidate will manage GitLab environments, automate infrastructure using Ansible and Terraform, support cloud-native deployments, and ensure platform security, reliability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, upgrade, and maintain GitLab Enterprise Edition across multiple environments.
• Manage GitLab Runners, CI/CD pipelines, AWS infrastructure, and Kubernetes (EKS/Helm).
• Automate infrastructure using Ansible and Terraform.
• Configure HAProxy/F5, SSL/TLS certificates, PostgreSQL, and AWS Geo DR.
• Monitor platform health using Splunk, Grafana, and Prometheus and resolve production issues.
• Collaborate with Network, Security, Database, and DevOps teams while maintaining documentation and supporting Agile/SAFe delivery.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with GitLab Enterprise Administration, Linux, and PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on expertise in AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), Helm, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Experience with GitLab Runners, CI/CD, Bash scripting, HAProxy/F5, SSL/TLS, and networking.
• Proficiency in monitoring tools such as Splunk, Grafana, and Prometheus.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
