Summary

Job Title: Solutions Architect / Data Architect (Snowflake)
Location: Dublin, CA (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite)
Duration: 12+ Months Contract
Employment Type: Contract

We are seeking a Senior Solutions Architect / Data Architect with deep expertise in Snowflake, Data Architecture, and Medallion Architecture to lead enterprise data initiatives. This role will drive the design, governance, and implementation of a modern data platform while collaborating with business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

Design and architect enterprise data solutions on Snowflake.
Define data models and implement Medallion Architecture (Landing, Refined, Published Zones).
Provide architectural guidance and best practices across Data & Analytics initiatives.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to define use cases and translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
Lead solution design discussions and influence technical decisions.
Develop quick Proof of Concepts (POCs) using Python when required.
Design secure, scalable, and governed data platforms.
Work closely with SI partners, architects, and development teams.
Support business dashboard initiatives and reporting enablement.

Required Skills:

10+ years of Data Architecture / Solution Architecture experience.
Strong expertise in Snowflake Architecture & Administration.
Hands-on experience with DBT (Data Build Tool).
Experience with Data Modeling and enterprise data warehouse design.
Strong understanding of Medallion Architecture.
Experience with CDC (Change Data Capture) and data ingestion frameworks.
Experience with StreamSets or similar ETL/Data Ingestion tools.
Strong SQL skills.
Python experience for rapid prototyping and architectural POCs.
Knowledge of Snowflake security, governance, RBAC, masking policies, and secure data sharing.
Experience enabling reporting platforms such as Power BI, MicroStrategy, or similar BI tools.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills:

Retail industry experience.
Experience with Alation or other Data Governance platforms.
Experience designing enterprise analytics platforms.
