SAP S/4HANA Project Systems (PS) Functional Consultant- Greensboro, NC (preferred) , Raleigh / Charlotte can be considered. (No remote , No Travel )
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Project Systems (PS) Functional Consultant with strong expertise in SAP FI/CO and proven experience supporting SAP ECC to S/4HANA transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in at least one full-cycle S/4HANA upgrade project and deep functional knowledge of SAP Project Systems for project costing, budgeting, planning, settlement, and financial tracking.
This role will work closely with Accounting, Finance, Controllership, Project Management, and technical teams to design and implement scalable project accounting solutions while ensuring seamless integration with upstream systems for accurate project cost capture and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, configure, and implement SAP S/4HANA Project Systems (PS) solutions including: Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) Networks and activities Budgeting and cost planning Settlement and financial tracking Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, and Project Management teams to define project accounting processes and translate business requirements into functional specifications. Support integration of upstream systems to capture labor, material, vendor, and external project costs into SAP Project Systems. Drive functional design, configuration, testing, and deployment activities for SAP S/4HANA Finance and Project Systems processes. Prepare functional specifications, coordinate development activities, and perform unit, system integration, and user acceptance testing. Work closely with technical teams and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure seamless integration across SAP modules and external applications. Support data migration, reconciliation, validation, cutover, and go-live activities during SAP ECC to S/4HANA upgrades. Provide end-user training, process documentation, and post-go-live support. Recommend best practices for SAP S/4HANA Finance and Project Systems processes while ensuring compliance with organizational standards. Required Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Project Systems (PS).
Deep knowledge of:
- Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)
- Networks, activities, and milestones
- Project planning and scheduling
- Cost planning and budgeting
- Availability control
- Settlement processes including AUC, Internal Orders, and Assets
Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA FI/CO processes and integrations.
Experience integrating upstream systems for project cost capture.
Experience with at least one full-cycle SAP ECC to S/4HANA upgrade/migration project.
Ability to communicate effectively with business stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership.
Strong documentation and process flow experience using tools such as Visio and PowerPoint.
Ability to work independently and mentor junior team members.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. Preferred Skills
Experience integrating SAP with:
Experience working in banking or financial services environments.
Knowledge of financial accounting and project-based financial management concepts.
Prior experience supporting finance transformation initiatives.
