Position Overview

Join a high-energy, fast-paced team dedicated to supporting the Medicaid System for the State of South Carolina. This dual-purpose role functions as both an Incident Manager and Project Coordinator, acting as a vital liaison between various technical teams and project leadership. You will be responsible for ensuring system stability and project alignment within a complex healthcare IT environment.

Daily Duties & Responsibilities

• Incident Management: Acknowledge and classify incidents based on severity; drive escalation steps and coordinate resources to restore systems to operational capacity (specifically for Major/Severity 1 incidents).
• Reporting & Analysis: Create and distribute After Action Reviews (AARs) for executive management and maintain weekly status reports for all open incidents.
• Project Coordination: Act as the primary bridge between the Project Manager and cross-functional teams; build strong working relationships between Medicaid IT services and agency staff.
• Change & Risk Management: Present production-impacting Change Requests to the Change Advisory Board (CAB) and conduct weekly meetings regarding security risks.
• Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to incident management protocols and security standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills & Experience

• Project Management: 5+ years of professional experience managing IT projects.
• Methodology & Tools: 5+ years of experience utilizing Waterfall methodology, MS Project, and MS Visio.
• Ticketing Systems: 3+ years of experience with BMC Footprints.
• Domain Expertise: 3+ years of experience with Medicaid Healthcare eligibility systems.
• Release Coordination: 3+ years of experience managing release schedules and coordination.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in Incident Management roles.
• Proficiency with PowerBI and SQL for data analysis.
• ITIL Certifications and a Bachelor's degree.
• Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, stressful environment with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
