We are a top Heavy Highway Contractor in the PA and NJ market with a large backlog of work. We are looking to add (2) two Project Engineers to our team to support the growth and volume of work. This position would be an office based position with occasional travel to the site.

We are currently seeking a dynamic, highly skilled, and driven Project Engineer to join our team in the Construction industry. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex, high-profile projects, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects. As a Project Engineer, you will be involved in all aspects of our construction projects, including planning, design, execution, monitoring, and completion. You will be responsible for ensuring that all project objectives are met, including cost control, structural engineering, and value engineering.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and implementation of heavy civil construction projects.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans and schedules to meet project objectives.
  • Utilize your expertise in cost control, structural engineering, and value engineering to optimize project outcomes.
  • Coordinate and manage project tasks and deliverables, ensuring that all project milestones are met on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and team members, to ensure that all project requirements are met.
  • Conduct regular project reviews and updates to keep all stakeholders informed of project progress.
  • Identify and resolve any project issues or risks that may impact project outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and quality standards.
  • Continually seek opportunities to improve project outcomes and deliver added value to our clients.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Open to entry level with relevant internships
  • Proven experience in cost control, structural engineering, and value engineering.
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and monitoring.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • A strong commitment to safety and quality.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications, including Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, and SAP.
  • Desire to acquire a Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred.
