Rothe is seeking a Metrology Technician IV to support our Calibration and Metrology operations at our Webster, Texas headquarters. Founded in 1967, Rothe is a mission-critical infrastructure and engineering company supporting federal agencies, commercial space, energy, and healthcare markets. Our ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI Z540 accredited calibration laboratory serves NASA, commercial space, defense, energy, and healthcare customers.
Job Description:The Metrology Technician IV is the senior technical position in Rothe\'s ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI Z540 accredited Metrology Calibration Laboratory, proficient in all areas of calibration performed in the lab and requiring minimal supervision in the lab or at customer sites. In addition to performing repairs and calibrations, this position generates uncertainty budgets, creates calibration procedures for new equipment, and recommends improvements to current procedures and methods. The Metrology Technician IV reports to the Lab Manager and may be assigned the position of Onsite Lead as required.
Functional Responsibilities: \t- Performs repairs, calibrations, and general housekeeping
\t- Understands the objective of calibration and how to assess results
\t- Proficient in all areas of calibration performed in the lab; requires minimal supervision to perform calibrations in these areas in the lab or at customer sites
\t- May be assigned the position of Onsite Lead as required
\t- Understands ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI/NCSL Z540 requirements as they relate to the calibration process and is able to generate uncertainty budgets
\t- Able to create calibration procedures for new equipment and recommend improvements to current calibration procedures and methods as necessary
\t- Keeps the Lab Manager informed of any equipment status changes that would affect its delivery
\t- Reports any problems or improvements needed to the Lab Manager
\t- Must be aware of the relevance and importance of their activities and how they contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the management system
This is an Onsite role based in Webster, TX.

Education and Experience:Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum Experience: Minimum 10 years\' experience in calibration or a related field. Reports to the Lab Manager.
Minimum Qualifications: \t- Minimum 10 years\' experience in calibration or a related field
\t- ASQ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) certification
\t- On the job training; proficient in all areas of calibration performed in the lab
Preferred Qualifications: \t- NCSLI certification
\t- Experience developing Fluke MET/CAL calibration procedures
\t- Experience creating calibration procedures for new equipment and recommending improvements to current procedures and methods
\t- Experience serving as Onsite Lead at customer locations
